FOURTEEN SENATE CO-SPONSORS ON HWRA S.3599

Everyone has been working hard behind the scenes to drum up support for the HWRA.  We are pleased to announce that the bill now has 14 co-sponsors in the Senate.  We continue to have a bipartisan mix of Senators from both the Democrats and Republicans, which is the best way to advance this important legislation. In addition to Sen. Perdue (R-GA), we have:

    2. I am asking for what would be the impact of the law to the movement of the visa bulletin. It clearly states that this law is for nurses and doctors.

    3. According to atty. Cris
Yes- I think that a collateral benefit of this legislation is that other EB2 and EB3, suhc as PT, MT, and OT will have less "competition" for visa slots.

    1. probably, if indian nurses will not consume 25k, then it will move to current. there are a lot of indians who has priority dates as well.

      Delete
    2. according to CGFNS, only 10,000 nurses have visa screen worldwide. 25k will probably not be consumed.

    3. visa screen yes may be, but it depends on the i-140. many of them(indians) have expired visa screen. the reason is they are pending for a very long time.

    4. (C)Exemption from country caps
Visas made available under this subsection—

(i)shall not be subject to the per country numerical limitation set forth in section 202(a)(2) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (8 U.S.C. 1152(a)(2)); and
(ii)shall be issued in order of the priority date assigned at the time the visa petition was filed.

as mentioned on their text it will be based on PRIORITY DATE not visa screens.

    5. omg, indians will benefit on this,25k visa i think is for indian national only, well happy for them esp if your going to base on pd dates.goodluck

    6. if you watch Atty Musillo video explanation on this, he said that less than 25k nurses have filed I140 worldwide up to this time. And if all status will be current, it will be first come first serve basis. So all those who have completed documents will go first.

    7. personally i still believe that there are many of them, once they see this bill move, indians will recapture those PD. anyway we'll see. its just my opinion.

    8. and i believe this will take a long time to pass. unemployment for nurses are also on the rise, less elective cases, less hospital visits. there will be a lot of challenges to pass this bill.

remember s386(indian bill), it has a lot of co sponsor but till now it is on hold.

i can see a lot of challenges to pass this bill.

    10. @lovely dont lose hope, everything is not determined yet. indians might probably grab this opportunity, or may be not. it may pass or it may not, only time will tell.

you can watch it on facebook.

  6. Atty. How many Senators needed for it to be the bestest way to advance? There 100 senators, i think.

    1. 51/100 majority would be sufficient. it depends if they will debate this or not. if they do, it will take time, amendments (e.g indian Physical therapist and Dentist are also trying to include themselves). if someone will push for UC(unanimous consent) it will be a lot faster, the catch is, if one senator hold it, then it will take time again

  7. Attorney, do you think there is a high probability thisbill will get approved this year? Do you think 2019 PDs 2019 will Benefit on this? Thank you

    1. its hard to say. but they are getting more senators on board. i have seen news about nurses getting unemployed in the US, furloughed. the reason for that is elective cases are mostly gone because of this pandemic, most cases that the hospital receives are emergency cases, thus generating income for private hospital are threaten, leaving them no choice but to save money by reducing staff. its a state per state basis. No one knows if this bill will ever pass. there are a lot of challenges that i can see.

    2. believe also that it is better if he could answer your questions. i never said i am atty musillo. i just tried to answer all of this based on my knowledge and news that i have seen.if you dont like my answers then you can just simply ignore it. it was never mentioned in this site that what i am doing is wrong. Im just trying to help.
but remember even on his previous post, not everyone received a reply from him. im just trying to help.

  10. Atty Musillo has the answers to same questions on his previous blogs and he has a comprehensive information about this bill. And yes, some of answers from Mangkanor are misleading here. So please refer to Atty Musillo's answers as he is directly involved in this bill.

    1. Yes but not only nurses. Eb3 is for PT,RN,OT and MT.

    2. yeah, but as phil, india also known for producing skilled nurses, but lets see if this bill will pass first

  13. Do not fret. india backlog from 2009 are not only nurses it includes other professionals as well OT PT MT IT etch. Secure your Visa screen and I140 PD gives you a spot on the line. Take note it takes time to obtain a visascreen if CGFNS says its 10,000 nurses with Visascreen that means only 10,000 will absolutely get the visa. Visascreen is a number 1 requirement during the Visa interview. NO VISASCREEN NO US VISA

  15. your room gets a lot of sunlight, choose light, non-fading hues. Cotton, linen, and silk mixes are the most popular lightweight materials for panels because they hang beautifully.

"Because mirrors bounce light throughout the room, they can make a space feel brighter," adds Breining. However, putting one in the wrong place is nearly as terrible as not having one at all.

Mirrors should be hung perpendicular to windows rather than directly across from them. When a mirror is hung directly across from a window, the light is reflected back out the window.
