DECEMBER 2021 VISA BULLETIN

The Department of State has just issued December 2021 Visa Bulletin.  This is the third Visa Bulletin of Fiscal Year 2022. This blog post analyzes this month's Visa Bulletin.

MU Law Analysis

As has been the case for a few months now, the DOS continues to confound.  On one hand – and to the detriment of Indian and Chinese EB-3s– the DOS did not move these countries EB3 dates.  On the other hand, the dates for India and China EB-2, progressed again.  India EB-2 moved ahead by five months.  China EB-2 advanced by six weeks.  Similar progressions are expected in the Dates of Filing chart.

The story remains positive for Philippines and Worldwide EB-3, where dates held at Current.  They are expected to stay Current for the foreseeable future, in contrast to prior announcements from DOS officials.

    Current visa bulletin for EB3 Philippines is a lie. It does not make any difference at all because the application is stuck somewhere in NVC and in the notoriously stubborn Embassy in Manila. Waiting time is still 12 to 24 months. Filipino nurses should not be deceived by the current visa bulletin so they can choose other English-speaking countries.

      We have seen that all companies are just now seeing visa appointments in Manila. The appointments have started to get set this week. You should contact your attorney and recruiter. Good luck.

      Hi MU Law. Does the exclusive interviews for nurses have a cut off period on DQ'd applicants? I was DQ'd on May 10, 2021. Hoping to be included on the appointments.

      We don't track it by DQ'd date and so I can't really answer your question unfortunately.
