HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS WITH AN APPROVED IMMIGRATION PETITION SHOULD CONTACT THEIR NEAREST US EMBASSY OR CONSULATE

The US Department of State has issued a statement that all medical professionals, particularly those working to combat Covid-19, should contact their nearest US Embassy to request a visa appointment.  If you are a medical professional and have an approved I-129, I-140 or other immigration petition, you should contact the US Embassy or Consulate nearest to you to schedule a visa appointment as soon as possible.  Even if the Embassy is currently closed to routine interviews, an interview may be granted for a medical professional.

The medical professional with an approved I-140 must have a current priority date.

    1. Not all embassies are closed. Also, once they open you should try to contact them directly.

    1. Your questions are very specific to you. I do not offer specific legal advice in this format. You should make sure that you have an experienced attorney to give you the best advice for your situation.

  21. Does it also work for a Heath Care professional who is not the primary applicant of an i-140 approved petition ?

  22. Sorry it was not clear to me. I (principal applicant) do have an approved I-140, as a driver and my wife is a Health Care Worker. EB3- Other Workers is not current now. Executive Order implemented yesterday, suspended immigration, but Health Care Professionals were exempted. My doubt is..If EB3 others workers become current again, our petitions will be exempted? considering the fact that the primary applicant is not a health Care worker...only my wife. Thanks in advance.

    1. I don't follow your explanation unfortunately. You probably want to email the attorney on your case, and take this off the public forum.
