  1. Yeah I noticed that there wasn't much movement when I looked at it

I was under the the impression that when demand is low the dates would move forward quicker....... There saying they only expect movement to be max 6 weeks in the coming months which is a shame d:-(

  2. Hi Chris & Cindy

I've a question for you is it necessary to keep an active Nurse licence in the US for I-140 processing. despite the fact that you have a current Visa Screen certificate?

    Thanks

  3. Hi Lanyu,

Yes. When demand is low, there will be a progression of dates, but there are still many, many cases stuck in the system. I do think, however, that the next year's VBs will progress faster than last year's.

  4. Hi Lanyu,

You will need a nurse license when you enter the US, and some Consular Officials may require it at the interview.

Technically, however, they should issue the GC at the interview, provided that you present with an NCLEX pass letter.

  6. Hi Chris, Any hope for the Nurse Bill in 2011 or 2012 considering the demand of International RNs in 2011 and 2012 which will force Politicians to act to pass a Bill. Unless a Bill is passed in 2011 the RNs will not reach USA until 2012. Do you otherwise think that sufficient RNs are available within USA and no more demand for International RNs in the next or two years. Is any lobbying effots going on to at least include RNs in H1B general category and with specific requirement of specialization.

  7. @ FN20 and Rajani,
Unfortunately I do not think that anything immigration-related will pass, except possibly for the DREAM Act, which while an excellent bill, will not impact our healthcare immigration community.
